Have you noticed the newer, more reflective neighborhood Block Watch street signs posted in our neighborhood?
5 members of the Hunters Village Tapestry BlockWatch gathered to replace 17 Neighborhood Blockwatch (BW) and/or Phoenix Police Neighborhood Patrol (PNP) signs in our neighborhood on Thursday, December 3. The remaining BW / PNP street signs will be replaced as they fade. Funds to purchase the new BW and PNP signs are provided via approved BW Grants, thanks to PNP and Block Watch volunteer activities.
Many of the existing street signs have become faded or losing their reflectivity due to age. The new Phoenix BlockWatch signs have a new logo, replacing the discontinued “McGruff the Crime Dog” with a “Virtual BlockWatch” logo.
Additionally, Solar King replaced the BlockWatch-funded solar-powered street sign near 4714 E. Redfield Rd, which had been damaged due to a single-vehicle collision. Fortunately, the driver was not injured. The driver’s insurance company paid for the light replacement.
Thank you to the sign replacement team: Candy Dugdahl, Dave Dugdahl, Eric Hoffman, Patti Matz and Bob Mitchell.
