Do you have an outdoor security camera on your home exterior that faces the street?
The Phoenix Police Department has launched a program called Virtual Blockwatch, where you can choose to list your residence address on the list. If a suspected crime has occurred in your area and your home is listed as having a security camera, the police may ask you to search your video files for a suspected criminal. The police will not have access to your camera feed or to your Wi-Fi.
If your camera picked up a digital image of a criminal or crime, the police will ask your permission to make a copy of the video.
